The Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority (GWTIDA), was formed in July 1993 to consolidate the tourism economy of the three creating municipalities. The umbrella marketing organization of the Borough of Wildwood Crest, the City of Wildwood, and the City of North Wildwood, GWTIDA advertises and promotes the island as a family vacation destination.
